GREENSBORO, NC – The American Baseball Coaches Association awarded Waubonsie Valley baseball with the Team Academic Excellence Award this week. It’s the second year in a row that the Warriors earned the honor.
To be honored, teams had to have a minimum cumulative grade point average of 3.00 on a 4.00 scale for the 2024-2025 academic school year.
Waubonsie Valley was one of only 19 high school teams from Illinois to win the award and one of over 300 high school programs nationwide.
Founded in 1945, ABCA is a professional organization for baseball coaches at all levels of high school and college. It has over 15,000 members in all 50 states and 41 countries.
