AURORA – Four girls golfers placed in the Top 20 at the IHSA Regionals at Bliss Creek Golf Course in Aurora on Tuesday.
Junior Mina Shyam finished 4th with a 6-over-76. Junior Siya Sohal finished 12th with a 14-over-84. Senior Hannah Lee and freshman Alyssa Straub tied for 18th with an 18-over-88.
Overall, Waubonsie Valley finished 5th with a score of 336 and missed qualifying as a team by 9 strokes.
The four golfers will advance to the IHSA Sectional on Monday at Forest Hills Country Club in Rockford.
