
PLAINFIELD – The Marching Warriors competed in their first competition of the season on Saturday and finished third overall and second in their division at the Plainfield South Marching Band Invitational.
The competition consisted of eight schools, including Lincoln-Way, Plainfield East, Bremen, Sandwich, Wheaton-Warrenville South, Lemont and Kaneland.
The marching band’s performance is called “A Common Thread.” The group’s video trailer states, “Our differences are nothing to that which binds us together. Our diverse lives stitched together like a patchwork quilt. Many parts united by a common thread.”
The Marching Warriors compete on Saturday, October 18 at the Lincoln-Way Marching Band Competition before closing out the competition season at the Illini Classic at the University of Illinois on Saturday, October 25.
